Major Projects in the District
Land Record Computerization :
This is one of the Major Projects of NIC in which all the Land related records
are computerized. All the talukas under this district have started issuing computerized
7/12 to farmers. In few villages having more potential for distribution a Mobile
Van is deployed by the BOT to distribute the 7/12. The distribution of 7/12
through Mobile Van was inaugurated by Guardian Minister of Osmanabad Shri Rana
Jagjit Singh Patil at his home town Ter.
In case of urban area where property cards are the documents of land holder,
two talukas Tuljapur ,Omerga and Kalamb have completed the work.
Agmarknet :
All the APMC of this district are now covered under the Agmarknet Project which is a boon for farmer. Already two APMC Murum and Kalam have started functioning while the others have started receiving the hardware. Publicity is given in the local newspaper and AIR, Osmanabad regarding its usefulness to Farmers for selling their products in market.
Property Card Computerization :
As an integral part of the land records computerization the property card database of whole district has been compiled. The PR Cards in Kalamb and Tuljapur talukas have been computerized and both these talukas are distributing computerized PR Cards to the public. Work towards execution of project is appreciated by Dy.director,LR .
District Web site:
The district web site http://osmanabad.nic.in was designed & developed in the year 2001-2002 and it has gone many modifications and changes over the last couple of years. A district level committee has already been formed to carry out the updation on the website regularly.
Land Acquisition Software :
Osmanabad was one of the first few districts to have developed and implemented the Land Acquisition Software that keeps track on the stages of land acquisition & monitors the status of cases. It helps in early disposal of the cases, speedy compensation to landowner and provides faster availability of land for executing government project.
Computerisation of BPL benefeciaries :
The Below Poverty Line database has been generated for district Osmanabad. The project was carried out jointly by NIC & DRDA. The project execution mechanisms used for data entry & preparation of final score points were appreciated by the Dy. Secretary, DRDA. The same mechanism has been made a role model of the entire state of Maharashtra

E-mail connectivity to Other Major Offices :
RAS is installed and two more new telephone lines are connected for Dial-up facility. The E-mail users are configured to use the dial-up facility through RAS. Following is the list of users currently using the email facility through Dial-up line from our District Centre.

FTP Server :
RAS Facility is used to get reports from all tahsils from Osmanabad district. One system from each tahsil is configured for dial-up connectivity. These systems are used to transmit the data from Tahsil to District Centre.

The Video Conference Facility is used by District Collector, Deputy Collectors and HODs of State Government Department to contact Mantralaya, Divisional Commissioner Office and other districts.
Hardware Setup in Collectorate :
All the sections / departments in Collectorate are having Desktop PC P-III/P-IV connected in LAN. Almost 30 machines are connected in LAN. The E-mail Server provided by GOM is installed in Control Room. All the HODs are given E-mail facility of MAHANET. Other Offices like SDO, Osmanabad, Tahsil Office, Osmanabad, Treasury, TILR, Planning Department which are in the same campus are connected in LAN.
District Data Centre Setup :
The District Data Centre is setup by GOM for hosting all the Tahsil data at district level. The 7/12 data of all the Tahsils will be kept on the Server installed in Data Centre.
